If you are looking to perform a dialogue edit of a production that was edited on DaVinci Resolve and have found that the editor has only edited the mix channel of the location WAV files, or the metadata of each WAV isn't being shown correctly in your DAW, you can now use EdiLoad to assemble all channels that were recorded on location to match the audio edits made in DaVinci Resolve. This assembly can then be loaded into Pro Tools or any other DAW to perform the dialogue edit.
See the EdiLoad File Spec PDF (this can also be found in the EdiLoad Help menu) for information on what file type and settings are required in DaVinci Resolve during export, along with information on how to update the edit list once loaded into EdiLoad to allow it to match each event to your location WAVs.
This process is able to assemble all channels for audio clips that are 'linked' in the DaVinci Resolve timeline. It does not assemble non-location WAV files like temp effects or music, these can be copied directly from an AAF. Also, if the audio edits in DaVinci Resolve are sample accurate (not on frame edges), the clips presented by EdiLoad will be moved to a frame edge. However, EdiLoad will load the sample offset information for the DaVinci Resolve AAF clips, so the sync of each clip that EdiLoad exports will be sample accurate.
See the EdiLoad Assembly blog post for more information and demo videos on how to perform an assembly in EdiLoad for Pro Tools or any other DAW.
