EdiLoad Re-conforms with Pro Tools 2022.4
Monday, 09 May 2022 10:56 Published in EdiApp Knowledge BaseNew in Pro Tools 2022.4 is the 'Keyboard Shortcuts' window. This window allows you to assign custom keyboard shortcuts, or key combinations to a Pro Tools function or command. The default keyboard shortcuts that ship with Pro Tools 2022.4 are different to the shortcuts that Pro Tools used in the past. With Pro Tools 2022.4 the EdiLoad re-conform function is broken (for macOS and Windows), as Pro Tools is now expecting different shortcuts to what EdiLoad has always sent to Pro Tools in the past.
The goal for software developers is to create applications that are simple to use while containing the flexibility and functionality required for its user base. This is especially true when the application interfaces with another application. In this case, the primary application needs to be able to communicate with the secondary effectively, so that data is exchanged correctly, without the need for the user to make selections while importing or exporting data. This has been the driving force behind the updates made in EdiCue v4.

Since releasing EdiCue v1 nearly 12 years ago to the day, I’ve received an abundance of user feedback and feature requests for the application. As I live in Australia, I would implement an update while clients slept, where possible, so they could wake up to an email containing a link to download a pre-release version. Other requests required extra patience.
